We refer to our announcement on 22 July 2010 where we disclosed that the High Court had on 21 July 2010 dismissed Zaitun’s claim against our subsidiary BESB, and allowed BESB’s counter-claim against Zaitun to the extent of RM8,827,597.74 with interest and costs.

We wish to announce further that during hearing on 1 August 2011 of Zaitun’s appeal to the Court of Appeal against the above High Court decision, the Official Receiver that appeared for Zaitun withdrew the appeal, without order as to costs.

In view of this decision by the Court of Appeal, the case comes to an end.
